Arrest and Charges

20.06.2024: Kashmira Sandip Pawar, along with her accomplice Ganesh Gaikwad, 32, was arrested by the Satara police for charges of cheating, forgery, and impersonation under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). The arrests follow a first information report (FIR) registered last year.

The Grand Deception

In December 2017, media outlets sensationally reported the “appointment” of Kashmira Pawar, a 29-year-old woman from Maharashtra’s Satara district, as a “national advisor to the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO).” The reports claimed that she had direct communication with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval. Allegedly, she even communicated with top PMO bureaucrats via videoconferencing from the Satara District Collector’s office.

The Unraveling

The claims, however, have proven to be a grand deception. Kashmira’s supposed high-profile role and her direct access to the PM and NSA were all part of a well-orchestrated fraud. Her arrest, along with Ganesh Gaikwad, highlights the extent to which the duo went to perpetrate their deceit.

Legal Consequences

Kashmira and Ganesh face serious legal consequences, including charges of cheating, forgery, and impersonation. Their case is a reminder of the lengths some individuals will go to in order to fabricate prestigious identities and gain undue advantages.

Kashmira Pawar’s case is a striking example of how easily false claims can capture public imagination and media attention. Her arrest serves as a stern warning against such fraudulent activities and underscores the importance of verifying credentials, especially when they pertain to high-level government positions.
