Travis Kelce Left Speechless by Jason Sudeikis’ Awkward Question About Taylor Swift
04.06.2024: Fans of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are buzzing after Jason Sudeikis’ recent attempt to get answers about the couple’s future. The NFL star joined Sudeikis, along with comedians Robert Smigel and George Wendt, on stage during a comedy skit at the Big Slick Celebrity Weekend charity fundraiser in Kansas City, Missouri. A video of the event is circulating on social media.
During the skit, Smigel and Wendt, dressed as sports fans, jokingly suggested that Kelce should ask his girlfriend, Taylor Swift, to fund a new football stadium for the Kansas City Chiefs, humorously noting, “What’s a few hundred million to Taylor? That’s what four tickets cost to her concert anyway.”
Kelce, visibly amused and slightly uncomfortable, responded, “She just got to Kansas City, boys. Jesus!” But the awkwardness didn’t end there.
Sudeikis, also in costume and sporting a false mustache, jumped in with a more direct question. “Travis, real talk, okay, just the guys here,” the “Ted Lasso” star said, peering over his shades. He then asked, “When are you going to make an honest woman out of her?”
The crowd erupted in applause and cheers as Sudeikis added, “Taylor doesn’t need to be working anymore, and I know your kicker agrees with me. He gets it.” This remark seemed to reference a recent controversial speech by Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker, where he suggested that most women are more excited about marriage and children than their careers.
Kelce could only respond with an embarrassed smile and an awkward chuckle, clearly hoping the moment would pass quickly.
Swift and Kelce, who began dating last summer, have been a hot topic among fans, especially with Swift frequently seen supporting Kelce at his games.
