05.05.2024: Kankavali (Maha): MNS president Raj Thackeray made significant remarks regarding his cousin and Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray’s political decisions in a recent campaign rally. Raj Thackeray suggested that Uddhav would have refrained from criticizing the BJP had they accepted his demand for the Maharashtra chief minister’s post.

During his rally in support of BJP candidate Narayan Rane, Raj Thackeray also justified his support for Prime Minister Narendra Modi, citing accomplishments like the Ram Temple construction and Article 370 abrogation.

Raj Thackeray highlighted the shift in his stance towards Modi, acknowledging that while he supported him in 2014, he heavily criticized the prime minister before the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. He emphasized that his current support for Modi was not driven by personal gain.

Addressing Uddhav Thackeray’s decision to break away from the BJP alliance over the CM’s post, Raj Thackeray questioned Uddhav’s silence during his tenure as chief minister regarding investments and development in Maharashtra.

Additionally, Raj Thackeray criticized Uddhav’s opposition to major projects like the Jaitapur Nuclear Power plant and an oil refinery in Konkan, pointing out inconsistencies within the Shiv Sena’s leadership regarding project approvals.

The rally also witnessed Raj Thackeray challenging the Shiv Sena’s internal coherence, citing instances where local leaders held conflicting views on various projects.
