02.06.2024: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is poised for a historic third term, according to exit polls conducted after the final phase of the Lok Sabha election concluded this evening. An aggregate of 12 exit polls suggests that the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) will secure 365 seats, while the INDIA bloc will get 146 seats.

Key Predictions:

  • NDA Total Seats: 365
  • INDIA Bloc Seats: 146
  • BJP Seats: 317
  • Congress Seats: 61

    • NDA: 400 (±15) seats
    • Opposition Bloc: 107 (±11) seats
    • BJP: 335 (±15) seats
    • Congress: 50 (±11) seats

  3. India Today-Axis My India:
    • NDA: 361-401 seats
    • Opposition Bloc: 131-166 seats

The lowest projection for the NDA comes from Dainik Bhaskar, predicting 281-350 seats, with the INDIA bloc getting 145-201 seats.

Regional Insights:

  • Andhra Pradesh: The alliance with Chandrababu Naidu’s party is expected to secure 18 out of 25 seats for the NDA.
  • Karnataka: Despite a state-level preference for Congress, Karnataka is predicted to vote strongly for the BJP.
  • Telangana: The BJP is likely to win over half of the 17 seats, despite Congress’s recent assembly poll victory and the decline of K Chandrasekhar Rao’s Bharat Rashtra Samithi.
  • Tamil Nadu and Kerala: The BJP is expected to win at least two seats in Tamil Nadu and one in Kerala, marking a significant breakthrough.

While exit polls have been wrong in the past, they uniformly predict an improved performance for the NDA, particularly in southern states and Bengal. This anticipated shift is poised to deliver a historic third term for PM Modi and the BJP.
