21.04.2024 : The upcoming Lok Sabha election in India has brought about a surge in political activities, with the Opposition gearing up for the Ulgulan Nyay rally in Ranchi. Scheduled for April 21, this event will witness the participation of prominent leaders from 14 political parties, including Mallikarjun Kharge, Rahul Gandhi, Lalu Prasad, Farooq Abdullah, Akhilesh Yadav, and Sunita Kejriwal.

Organized by the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM), the rally aims to shed light on the Centre’s perceived ‘dictatorial’ approach. It will take place at the Prabhat Tara ground in Ranchi, the capital of Jharkhand.

As the political landscape heats up, Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently criticized the Congress government in Karnataka, accusing it of transforming the tech city into a “tanker city” under the influence of the tanker mafia. On the other hand, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee of the TMC accused the Election Commission of India of scheduling a seven-phase poll to favor extensive campaigning by PM Modi and his cabinet colleagues, utilizing the nation’s resources.

In other election-related news, the Election Commission of India nullified polling at 11 booths in Inner Manipur due to reported violence and disruptions, scheduling a re-poll for April 22.

With the ongoing election frenzy, the country is set for a series of phases leading up to the final counting on June 4. The second phase is slated for April 26, followed by subsequent phases on May 7, May 13, May 20, May 25, and June 1. Stay updated on all developments as the political drama unfolds.
