09.06.2024: PM Modi Oath-Taking Ceremony: Today marks a historic moment as Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to be sworn in for his third term at the Rashtrapati Bhawan in Delhi. The oath of office will be administered by President Droupadi Murmu, making Modi the first three-term Prime Minister since Congress leader Jawaharlal Nehru.
Enhanced Security Measures
To ensure the safety and security of the event, a robust three-layered security system has been established at the Rashtrapati Bhawan. Commandos from Delhi Police’s SWAT and the National Security Guard (NSG) are stationed around the venue and at strategic locations throughout the city. In addition, Delhi has been declared a no-fly zone for the next few days, with a ban on aerial platforms such as drones, paragliders, remotely piloted aircraft, and hot air balloons.
High-Level Attendees
The ceremony will be attended by leaders from neighboring countries, reflecting India’s ‘Neighbourhood First’ policy. Dignitaries from Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Bhutan, Nepal, Mauritius, Seychelles, and the Maldives will be present. Special routes have been designated for these guests to ensure their smooth transit from their hotels to the venue and back.
