The 2024 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup will be the ninth edition of the T20 World Cup, a biennial Twenty20 International (T20I) tournament organized by the International Cricket Council (ICC) and contested by men’s national teams.

This upcoming tournament will be co-hosted by West Indies and USA, which will be held from 1 June to 29 June 2024. Notably, it will be the first time it will be played in a country other than the United States. American countries except the West Indies.

With a total of 20 teams participating, this edition of the tournament will witness a record number of teams surpassing the previous 16-team format of the 2022 tournament. The ICC expanded the competition to accommodate this increase, resulting in a total of 55 matches being played. As a result, it will be the biggest cricket tournament organized by ICC.

In terms of qualification, the top eight teams from the previous tournament automatically secured their places in the ICC Men’s T20I Team Rankings along with the next two teams. The remaining eight teams earned their spots through a regional qualification process. Notably, the Canada and Uganda men’s T20 teams will make their debuts at the World Cup, with the United States participating as co-hosts for the first time.
