On Wednesday, a ceremony in Ranchi to hand over appointment letters to over 1,500 newly selected teachers was abruptly canceled. Chief Minister Champai Soren was set to be the chief guest. According to sources, the event was postponed to coincide with Hemant Soren’s return as CM, emphasizing the party’s unified leadership.

Hemant Soren was granted bail on June 28, five months after his arrest in a money laundering case involving land in Ranchi. The Jharkhand High Court found sufficient reasons to believe in his innocence. In his first address post-bail, Hemant expressed his readiness for early state elections, hinting at a strategic comeback.

The JMM’s recent success in the Lok Sabha elections, where it won three out of five seats contested as part of the INDIA coalition, has boosted the party’s morale.
