Police Efforts and Investigation

The Jammu and Kashmir police released a sketch of one of the terrorists involved in the Reasi attack and announced a reward of ₹20 lakh for information leading to his capture. The sketch was created based on eyewitness descriptions. The bus, carrying pilgrims from the Shiv Khori shrine to Katra, was attacked by terrorists around 6.10 pm on June 9 in the Pouni area of Reasi district, near the Rajouri district border.

The police believe the terrorist group Lashkar-e-Taiba is behind the attack and have formed 11 teams to investigate the incident.
