05.04.2024 : The Congress party has launched its manifesto for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, emphasizing the five pillars of justice. Party chief Mallikarjun Kharge, along with former presidents Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi, unveiled the manifesto on April 5.

The manifesto focuses on addressing various aspects of justice through its ‘paanch nyay’ framework. However, amidst this political activity, women traders at Manipur’s renowned ‘Ima market’ express disillusionment, feeling neglected by the nation. They question the relevance of elections amid ongoing turmoil and contemplate a boycott, citing the neglect of Manipur as a primary grievance.

In another development, independent MP Sumalatha Ambareesh from Mandya, Karnataka, has announced her intention to join the BJP on April 5. This decision follows her victory in the 2019 general elections with BJP support, defeating notable candidates from other parties.
