29.04.2024: In a significant development, actor Sahil Khan has been apprehended in Chhattisgarh by Mumbai Police’s Special Investigating Team (SIT) from the Cyber Cell. This arrest follows the rejection of Khan’s petition for interim bail by the Bombay High Court, signaling a turning point in the Mahadev betting app case.

The Mumbai Police’s relentless pursuit led to Sahil Khan’s arrest after he attempted to evade authorities following the court’s decision. The operation, spanning over 40 hours, culminated in collaboration with the Chhattisgarh Police, highlighting the extensive efforts put forth in this investigation.

Upon his return to Mumbai, Sahil Khan was remanded to four days of police custody by a local court. Known for his roles in films like ‘Style’ and ‘Excuse Me,’ Khan also boasts a significant following as a social media influencer.

The SIT’s focus has been on unraveling the intricate web of alleged illegal transactions linking financial and real estate entities in Chhattisgarh with the controversial Mahadev betting app’s promoters. Among the 32 individuals under investigation, Sahil Khan’s involvement is a prominent aspect of the probe.

The Mumbai Police Cyber Cell’s scrutiny extends beyond individuals to delve into financial records, digital devices, and technical equipment linked to Sahil Khan. This thorough examination aims to uncover any pertinent evidence related to the case.

Notably, this development follows the summoning of actor Tamannaah Bhatia by the Maharashtra cyber cell regarding her association with a subsidiary app of the Mahadev betting platform, emphasizing the widespread impact of this investigation within the entertainment industry.

The Mahadev betting app saga gained notoriety previously when actors like Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor, who endorsed the app, faced scrutiny from the Enforcement Directorate (ED). Investigations have revealed the app’s operational ties to Dubai, with key figures from Chhattisgarh’s Bhilai region at its helm.

As the Enforcement Directorate delves deeper, connections between the Mahadev Online Book App and influential figures in various sectors are coming to light, underscoring the complexity and significance of this ongoing investigation.
