02.05.2024: In a tragic turn of events, Anuj Thapan (32), one of the accused in the Salman Khan house firing case, passed away in a Mumbai hospital after attempting to end his life while in police custody. The incident occurred on May 1 afternoon at the Mumbai Police’s crime branch lock-up.
Anuj Thapan took his own life inside the lock-up’s toilet using a bedsheet. He was immediately taken to the State-run GT Hospital, where medical professionals declared him dead during treatment.
