Marriage: A Personal Perspective
In an interview on the BeerBiceps podcast, Arjun was asked about their decision to remain unmarried despite having a family. He responded with, “What is marriage?” He elaborated, explaining that marriage is merely a piece of paper and can sometimes change the dynamics of a relationship. “It’s not me, it’s not her. I think we are already married in our minds, but that piece of paper can change you. It creates a false notion of permanence because you are legally bound,” he said.
Organic Relationship
Arjun emphasized that their relationship has grown organically, and he values the natural progression of their bond. “It could change your attitude towards each other. Whatever has happened between us was very organic. I don’t want to jinx it by talking about it too much. For us, this is beautiful, and we are happy experiencing it as it is. In our minds, we are married. We push each other in the right direction while still being boyfriend and girlfriend,” he shared with a laugh.
Not Against Marriage
Although Arjun and Gabriella haven’t married, he clarified that he is not against the institution of marriage. “I am not advising anyone to go against marriage. Maybe we will get married one day. You never know,” he mentioned. Arjun also spoke fondly of their blended family, saying, “I have two beautiful boys. I am blessed. My daughters from my first marriage get along beautifully with Gabriella. Mehr and Gabriella also have a good relationship.”
Past and Present
Arjun was previously married to Mehr Jesia, with whom he has two daughters, Mahikaa and Myra. The actor highlighted the harmonious relationship between his daughters and Gabriella, further reflecting the positive dynamic within their family.
