Double-medalist Manu Bhaker came tantalizingly close to adding a third medal to her tally, finishing fourth in the women’s 25m pistol event on August 3, 2024. Bhaker, who made history by becoming the first athlete from Independent India to win two medals in a single edition of the Games, had a strong showing. She qualified second in the preliminary round but fell short in the finals. Fellow Indian shooter Esha Singh did not advance past the qualification round.
