25.04.2024: The National Testing Agency (NTA) recently announced the results for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2024, revealing that 56 candidates secured a flawless 100 percentile score. Among these top performers, 15 hail from Telangana, with seven each from Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, and six from Delhi.
The JEE Main 2024 exams were conducted in two sessions, with the first session held in January and the second in April, both in computer-based Test (CBT) mode. A staggering 10,67,95 students participated in the April session of Paper 1 (BE/BTech) examinations.
While celebrating the success of top achievers, it’s noteworthy that 39 candidates faced consequences for engaging in malpractice during the exam, leading to a three-year ban on future attempts, as per NTA guidelines.
This year’s JEE (Main) percentile for qualifying to the JEE (Advanced) has seen an upward trend, reaching its highest point in five years across all categories. The general category’s minimum cutoff stands at 93.2, signaling an increase from previous years, reflecting the rigorous competition and academic excellence demonstrated by aspirants.
It’s important to note that the NTA doesn’t disclose raw scores but provides percentiles, which are normalized scores used for compiling merit lists. This approach ensures fairness and accuracy in assessing candidates’ performance without bias.
The comprehensive coverage of the JEE Main 2024 results sheds light on the remarkable achievements of top scorers, the stringent measures against malpractice, and the evolving standards in entrance examinations, guiding aspiring students and stakeholders in the education sector.
