06.07.2024: A six-storey building in Surat’s Sachin Pali village collapsed on Monday, following days of incessant rains. The incident has left 15 people injured, with several feared trapped under the debris. Rescue operations are underway, with police and fire department officials on the scene.

Incident Overview:

Amid continuous rainfall, the building, which was constructed just eight years ago, crumbled to the ground, trapping multiple residents inside. Horrifying visuals show large chunks of concrete slabs piled on top of each other, creating a mountain of rubble. Five families were inside the building at the time of the collapse, raising concerns about the number of people still trapped.

Rescue Operations:

Rescue teams, including the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), have been called in to assist local authorities. Visuals from the scene show officials climbing through the wreckage, searching for survivors. One woman has been pulled out alive, while rescue teams continue to work tirelessly to locate others.
